▼What is Tranqui？

We are a member-driven community with a focus on global sport.  Members will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and embark on projects of their interests related to sports globally.

The word “Tranqui” came from a Spanish word “Tranquilo” meaning ‘to calm down, relax, not worry’ which is how we hope the community’s culture will be built around. Our main working language will be in English with Japanese as a supporting language.

・To connect people who are passionate about sport in Japan and around the world

・Attitude of life-long learning – We want to have an attitude to continue to learn and grow throughout our lifetime.

・Putting people first – Participate at a pace of your choice. We want to help members run as fast as they can, or as slow as they want.

・Tranqui Community – We will meet, exchange and share ideas using the online platforms such as Slack and Zoom.

・Tranqui Talk! – We will be organising regular talk events, inviting guest speakers from inside and outside the community to share knowledge of interest to members.

・Tranqui Workshop! – We will also facilitate regular discussion sessions among members on various sports-related topics.

・Anyone who wants to learn together with people who are already working in global sport.

▼『Tranqui』とは？

『Tranqui（トランキー）』は、世界を舞台にスポーツで活躍したい人たちが集まるコミュニティです。『Tranqui』は、スペインのことば『Tranquilo』に由来しており、その命名背景には「焦らずに"ボチボチ”で良いから、メンバーとともに前へ進んでいこう」という願いが込められています。本コミュニティでは、英語でのコミュニケーションを基本とし、サポート言語として日本語を使用します。

・Tranqui Community – Slackをはじめとしたオンラインプラットフォームを使用して、交流、知識の共有をします。

・Tranqui talk! – コミュニティ内外のゲストスピーカーをお招きしてトークイベントを開催します。

・Tranqui workshop! – スポーツに関連する様々なテーマについて、メンバー間で議論をします。

▼主催者プロフィール

水島 淳｜Jun Mizushima

1991年生まれ。京都教育大学を経て、筑波大学大学院人間総合科学研究科に進学。在学中に青年海外協力隊としてパラグアイに2年間派遣。パラグアイ陸上競技連盟に所属し、投てきコーチとして選手育成および普及活動に従事。

帰国後、株式会社アシックスに就職。世界中の陸上競技・サッカーに関する選手・連盟・大会のスポンサーシップを担当。世界的スポーツイベントの組織委員会の国際広報を経て、2020年11月よりシンガポールの公的機関National Youth Sports Instituteにて現地スポーツコーチの育成に従事。
